I think many of us are used to products that might meet an immediate need, but are not built to last. In fast fashion, clothing is designed to wear only 7 times before it degrades significantly in quality.* SEVEN TIMES! I think of it as though we have to pay regularly for belts that wear out too quickly, guitar straps that no longer hold instruments securely, and so many other products that we rely on daily. When they break, they must be replaced, and the cycle continues. It's almost like we are stuck in a subscription service for products built to fail.

Twisted Motif's handcrafted woven and leather goods are built with artisan skills and designed with intention to last a lifetime. Our guitar straps are built for strength and durability and are designed to be relied on for many years and many uses. I’ve been at concerts and watched a guitar fall towards the ground as the tab fails.

We offer two types of tabs on our guitar straps, one type is easy to use on lighter weight acoustic guitars, however we also construct a reinforced tab that is ideal for heavier instruments like electric and bass guitars. It is lined with a non-stretch high-density polyethylene (HDPE) internally and backed with a second piece of leather to reduce wear.

When ordering a custom guitar strap from Twisted Motif, we will discuss which tab style you prefer on our woven straps. If you are ordering a leather guitar strap, all ends will be reinforced with the double leather and high-density polyethylene (HDPE) to help prevent stretching and reduce wear over time.
