From a 5th-grade printmaking project to hand-tooled leather art, discover the story behind these cowboy boot replicas.

This art was born in an art classroom in 2015 as a printing project for 5th grade students. I had my art students create a printing plate using a sketch of their shoe as the subject of the print. The example that I created for them was of my favorite cowgirl boots. I love my print so much that I made a few more boot prints as gifts
