Dickies Arena Collaboration with Twisted Motif for Mumford & Sons: "Sold Out" Guitar and Accordion Straps


Twisted Motif had an exciting opportunity to collaborate with Dickies Arena in Fort Worth, Texas. The task at hand was to create guitar straps that represent the arena with designs incorporating the actual architecture which is inspired by Texas' natural beauty and to produce one of a kind items to gift to bands that sell out the arena.

Each letter is woven in double-faced tablet weaving. Each line requires planning and extreme attention to detail.

As a seventh generation Texan, I was easily inspired by the design elements in the Fort Worth arena and enjoyed the experience in aligning historical tablet weaving and leathercraft to produce one-of-a-kind heirloom gifts for the artists of Dickies Arena.


In addition to the guitar straps, Mumford & Sons band member, Ben Lovett, was given a pair of accordion straps coordinating to the design of the guitar straps.

Guitar straps and accordion straps were woven with cotton string using an ancient tablet weaving practice. The end tabs for the guitar straps and the accordion strap are finished with the highest quality- full-grain veg-tan leather. For information on custom guitar straps go here.
